Hello, my name is Christine. Five years ago I joined the Panto Group as a tea lady. After watching everyone in Beauty & The Beast I was asked if I would like to be in the next production, and I have not looked back.

This is my 4th panto and I’ve made many friends. You are never too old to have fun.

MEET THE CAST – SARAH FLOENZA BARBERELLA GERTRUDE WHITTINGTON

 

Hi, I’m Paul and I play the Dame, Sarah Whittington, Dicks mother. 

I have been the playing the role of the Dame since about 10 years (a fact that is made into a joke in this years script) , but I have been with Norton since 1996.

 

I love this theatre group and love being the Dame. The cast and crew of Norton are such a wonderful bunch. We have great fun. Its hard work, but when it all comes together its fabulous.

MEET THE CAST – KING RAT

They call me King Rat, and I’m the meanest, baddest rat you will ever meet. In my other life, I’m called Vicky and I’m the

meanest, baddest… Well hopefully I’m not that bad!

This is my 6th time treading the boards with NTG, and what I love most (besides the lipstick and glamour) is the family feel. Most members have at least one relative also in the group, and even those who don’t, it feels like a big family here anyway after all these rehearsals and the back stage banter!

I can’t wait to take you, the audience, on our journey of adventure, intrigue, challenge and corny jokes. Make sure you’re ready to laugh, cheer, boo and hiss!

Hi my name is Jake Hurley, I’m 10 years old and I’m playing the part of Shadow, Dicks cat.

Dick Whittington is my first panto for Norton but I have done shows at school playing a Narrator, a dad and various other cool roles

Norton is a funny group and fun to be in. I love being on stage and acting a stupid in public.

MEET THE CAST – ALDERMAN FITZWARREN

Hi, my name is Chris Taylor and I’m playing Alderman Fitzwarren, Dick’s possible future father in law! He’s bit of a rotter.

In previous Norton Theatre Group pantomimes I have played The Beast, Robin Hood, first mate Smee and a limbless Black Knight called Dave. I have a wife and 2 sons and I’m a full time student. I love karaoke and running.

My favourite part of each panto is being on stage with my eldest son, Dev, and the audience reaction to the terrible jokes.

MEET THE CAST – RICKY ‘STICKLEBACK’ McSPLASH

Hi, I’m Chloe aged 13. I’ve been part of the Norton Theatre group since the 2013 production of Aladdin.

I’ve played villagers, demons, delivery drivers, knights and fairies all with small speaking roles. Then from 2016 onwards I had principle roles such as Bill The Pirate in Peter Pan, Billy Badbreath and The Lady of The Lakes assistant Beryl in Camelot.

This year I’m taking on the role of Ricky Stickleback McSplash, one of the Old Sea Captains nephews.

MEET THE CAST – DELAROZA

 

 My name is Anjuna and I am playing the part of Delaroza, the Good Witch, who helps Dick achieve his goal.

This is my fifth panto at Norton and I have previously been in the chorus and played the roles of John Darling in Peter Pan and Izzy the trainee witch in Camelot.

I really enjoy doing them because of how much fun it is to perform in proper shows which are also so funny for both the cast and audience.
